1. Marijuana is Safer than Alcohol
People believe that cannabis has destroyed the lives of millions of people worldwide – the very reason why people discourage the use of it. But the problem is that people hardly know about marijuana. The funny thing is they have never even tried it and assume the worst.
Cannabis could actually be the safest drug available, after a study found it is actually 114 times less deadly than alcohol, according to the journal, Scientific Reports. Alcohol drinking, was responsible for approximately 88,000 deaths each year in United States from 2006-2010. The CDC doesn’t even have a record that identifies the number of deaths caused by the use of marijuana.
2. Legalizing weed creates jobs
Marijuana is now considered one of the most lucrative industries in the country. Currently, 23 states plus Washington D.C. have legalized cannabis for recreational and medical use; and ever since the sales and use have been allowed, the marijuana industry has seen tremendous growth in the market, which doesn’t only generate huge amount of profits, but create thousands of jobs as well.
In Cultivation alone it would create 5,863 direct and indirect jobs; refining and edibles production 3,393 jobs; medical dispensaries about 1,000 jobs; and retail sales, 24,564 jobs. Total job creation: 35,000, with a combined income of $1.6 billion a year.
3. It Has Many Uses And Filled With Nutritional Value.
While the exact nutritional profile of cannabis has yet to be determined, it seems safe to assume that the cannabis plant, including the seeds, is most likely just as nutritious as hemp, if not more so.
Marijuana and hemp specifically has several nutritious forms. Its seeds and hearts are nutritious and can be used in many ways. It can also be made into protein powder.
